Terms of service

What this site is, what it is not, and where responsibility sits — including a section about the limits of the measurements, which matters more here than on most sites.

Using this site

Tray & Threshold is published for general information. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.

The limits of our measurements

This section matters more here than the rest, because measurements are what this site is for.

Every dimension published here is taken from the manufacturer's own published specification and reproduced in good faith, with its source named. We do not measure the products ourselves — we have not handled any of them — and we cannot guarantee that a manufacturer's figure is correct, that a manufacturer has not changed a product since publishing it, or that a specific unit matches the specification it was sold under.

Where we perform arithmetic on published figures — converting units, calculating a clearance, working out what shoe length a shelf takes — that arithmetic is labeled as ours on the page. It is done carefully and it is still arithmetic on someone else's numbers.

No warranty

The content here is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on it. Where the law does not permit that exclusion, our liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.

Products and purchases

We do not sell anything. Every purchase is made from a third-party retailer under that retailer's own terms, and they are responsible for the order, the delivery, the price, the stock position and any warranty.

We have no control over prices or availability and both change without notice. Prices shown here come from a live data source with a visible verification date; where none is available the page says so rather than showing a figure.

Nothing here is safety advice or professional installation guidance. Where we discuss anchoring furniture to a wall, that is general information about geometry and fixings — if you are unsure about your wall construction, get someone qualified to look at it.

Affiliate relationships

We earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. This is disclosed on every commercial page and set out in full on our affiliate disclosure page. It does not affect what we recommend or the order of any ranking.

Intellectual property

The text, rankings, tables and original arithmetic on this site are ours. Product names, model numbers and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively. Photography is licensed stock unless stated otherwise, credited in our records.

You may quote or cite this site with attribution and a link. Republishing pages wholesale, or scraping the content to reproduce it elsewhere, is not permitted.

We link to manufacturers, retailers and reference sources. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific point it was cited for.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top of the page changes with them, and continued use after a change means acceptance of it.
